Treatments are designed to be gentle, safe and effective. Each visit takes up to 60 minutes and includes stimulation with or without needles. Points are selected according to your unique diagnosis based on Chinese patterns of clinical signs and symptoms. A typical course of treatment is 3 to 12 visits, but the exact duration depends on your condition, overall health, and how well you respond to acupuncture.

Chinese herbs are combined in formulas to support your body's natural healing mechanisms. Unlike drugs, they require time to work--typically one month for every year it took your illness to develop. Chinese herbs require prescription by a doctor of Oriental medicine who is trained in drug-herb interactions. Herbs are tested and certified by the FDA for purity, ensuring they are free from environmental toxins and contaminants.

Sports massage with kinesiotaping, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue therapeutic massage are available. Additionally, doctors of Oriental medicine provide Chinese medical massage (called tui na), and cupping. Children receive a form of shiatsu meridian work with dermal rollers (called tei shin). Topical herbs are included in bodywork to help heal new and old injuries.
